Financial Aid

              ----Jianghan University provides Financial Aid intending to help students (home and abroad) pay education-related expenses including tuition, fees, room and board, books, and supplies for education at JHUN, including dozens of scholarships and awards to specific individual students.



Financial Aid

Jianghan University belongs to the largest grant-funded system of universities with the most extensive coverage in Hubei Province. In the belief that grants improve the higher education system, the university has set up a number of scholarships:

1) Graduate Studies Scholarship – to incentivize students’ study, research, innovation and entrepreneurship, annually rewarding 8,000 to 12,000 yuan per student, which covers up to 100 percent of costs

2) National Graduate Scholarship – in recognition of outstanding scientific research ability, or for promising graduate students, annually rewarding 20,000 yuan per student

3) President Scholarship – in recognition of outstanding achievement, or for bringing honor to the university, the scholarship annually rewards 10,000 yuan per student


Excellent results have been achieved through the establishment of a variety of individual scholarships to encourage students:

1) Graduate Pacesetter Award

2) Outstanding Graduate Cadre Award

3) Outstanding Graduate Research Award

4) Outstanding Graduate Award for Athletics

5) Graduate Public Service Award – annual reward amount is 1,000 to 3,000 yuan per student


Businesses and individuals have also established a variety of special scholarships to reward special expertise, with outstanding results:

1) Li Cai Nine Sources Scholarship

2) Wuhan Supply and Marketing Scholarship

3) Yu Shenxiang Scholarship and others, which annually rewards 1,000 to 4,000 yuan per student


To ensure the livelihood of each graduate student, the State grants 600 yuan per month during the 10-month academic year, issuing a total of 6,000 yuan per student every year. Moreover, the school provides a post allowance of 300 yuan per month, or 3,000 yuan per year, during the 10-month academic year for Graduate Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants and Management Assistants, as well as three other assistants’ posts. Research Assistants’ post allowances cover 100 percent of costs; Teaching Assistants and Management Assistants receive coverage up to 50 percent. Students with greater financial needs may hold two jobs per month.


The Communist Youth League Central’s “Spring Bud Program” funds university graduates, granting 100 yuan per month, plus need-based subsidies; students receiving subsidies also receive reimbursement for one return trip home each academic year.
